Our experience

Our research group created on the base of Image Processing Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences deals with design of LED optics since 2004. The group includes four Philosophy Doctors and two Master Students. For more than 8 years of researches we have developed several new methods and the unique software LED Optics Designer for computation of free-form optical elements. The results of investigations are constantly published in world leading optics journals.

Our main achievements are the development of

  • technique of extra fast tracing rays through the free-form optical surfaces that makes possible an estimation of optical performance in a split second;
  • methods of quick free-form surface optimization for generation of required irradiance distribution;
  • software LED Optics Designer for computation of LED secondary optics.
